Burlington, and surrounding area, is home to dozens of accomplished, published authors, poets, writers, booksellers, and countless lovers of the written word.  WORD features interviews with them all.  Let's celebrate the creative talent that lies within reach.  Please support local writers by buying their work - at a local bookstore.

This radio station is a proof-of-concept to give the residents of Burlington a sense of what could be. There is no over the air broadcast signal on the radio dial. It is only found online at www.bnowradio.ca. Rather than play Top 40 music or All Talk Radio, this station was created as a community service, to help share the news, information, community announcements, and to showcase the talent that we have in Burlington. All music played on this station is by Canadian musicians. To that end, we have a SOCAN license to ensure that Canadian musicians and songwriters receive royalties.

We invite you to listen to the possibility of what could be - volunteer run, professionally managed, with a focus on local activities and our fellow citizens.  If this interests you, or you wish to support  this community effort, please contact us and let us know how you would like to contribute to a permanent community radio station.

Thanks for listening.
